Since 2016, Vectuel has been supporting Métropole de Lyon in the development of its 3D urban visualization tools and its CIM (City Information Modeling) applications. As the holder of the Grand Lyon 3D contract, Vectuel designs territorial digital models to represent major urban projects, infrastructure, and transformations within the metropolitan territory.
The platform developed by Vectuel is used for purposes related to the smart city, public consultation, and decision support. It allows for the simulation of complex urban projects, the analysis of their integration into the territory, and the visualization of the impacts of future developments on mobility, public space, and the urban environment.
In particular, Vectuel has produced several immersive systems for structuring projects, including the Gerland–La Saulaie footbridge, the public consultation for Place Anatole France in Oullins, as well as a simulation of the Rhône floods.
Thanks to detailed urban modeling and real-time interactive tools deployed on the web, touch screens, or immersive devices, Vectuel supports elected officials, technicians, and residents in understanding and consulting on the transformations of the Lyon metropolis.
